  We are located at the beautiful Village of East Brabourne in Kent. our vineyard benefits from the unique terroir of the area. The combination of chalky soil, the Kent climate, and 96 metres elevation create the perfect conditions for growing exceptional grapes, similar to the Champagne area in France.

Blacksfield Vineyard focuses on the next generation of vines.  These have been selected with disease resistant strains to reduce the need for pesticides by over 90%. This allows the grapes to ripen for longer due to their natural resistant to mildew and without any spraying.

Janneke, our winemaker at Defined Wines, has helped us develop the right approach to disease resistant varietals. With a deep understanding of the terroir and a passion for innovative winemaking, she creates wines that are a true reflection of Blacksfield Vineyard's unique style.

We are celebrating our first vintage this year with an award from Wine GB for our Solaris in the single varietal category.  Our priority is to respect and nurture the soil and we are working towards becoming organic and sustainable in the years to come.
